Northcote Primary School values safe use of technology as being one of the most important skills to teach students of the 21st century. Accordingly, we have developed a sequential learning path for our students that develops these skills across every year level.
Prep to Year 2 students have access to iPads in the classroom, while Year 3-6 students participate in our Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) program. All classrooms are equipped with interactive screens, ensuring technology is embedded in daily learning. Across year levels, students engage with a range of digital tools tailored to their developmental needs, enhancing engagement, creativity, and learning outcomes. From foundational digital literacy in the early years to more complex research, collaboration, and problem-solving tasks in the upper years, technology supports and enriches student learning at every stage.
